The Kulik-KwieKulik Foundation was established to continue the activities of the Studio of Activities, Documentation and Propagation, and the KwieKulik Archive after their purchase by the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
It is located in a detached house in Łomianki, where Zofia Kulik has lived and worked for years. It is also in this house where the collection of KwieKulik Archive is stored and incessantly processed, until it becomes an element of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
The description on the Foundation webpage reads:
“The Kulik-KwieKulik Foundation operates and focuses on areas such as: art, culture, education and research. We are interested in the social and artistic potential of the creative activity as well as initiation of the discussion concerning art and its context. Not only do we further the brave and avant-garde creation, but we also recognise the practices, in which the boundaries between art, politics and everyday life are blurred.
Our Foundation is interested in determining the standards of an artist function in society and the relation between an artist and institutions.
The interests mentioned result essentially from the artistic practices of Zofia Kulik and the duet – Kwiekulik (Zofia Kulik and Przemysław Kwiek). The foundation promotes broader understanding of artists’ works in Poland and worldwide through visits, exhibitions and publishers. Moreover, the Kulik-KwieKulik Foundation maintains and protects the testament of their artistic, social and organisational activity while acknowledging its social usefulness.”
