The tramp magazine Severka was published for the first time in 1989. In the 1970s and 1980s tramping experienced difficulties in Czech and Slovak lands. Tramps' prints could not be published officially, and Severka therefore started as a samizdat. In 1989 the first volume of Severka was published under Tramping Association Severka.
