In 2004, the Schlattner Collection was donated by its creator to the Friedrich Teutsch Centre for Dialogue and Culture of the Evangelical Church of A.C. in Romania. Previously, Eginald Schlattner had intended to donate his personal collection to Deutsche Literaturarchiv Marbach (Archives of German Literature Marbach) in the Federal Republic of Germany. He changed his mind later, taking into account that his literary work has its cultural roots in Transylvania and the Friedrich Teutsch Centre for Dialogue and Culture is a repository for several other personal collections of Romanian Germans.
